Paper-Scissors-Rock: A solo show by Brian ReinkerPrivate view: 21st November 6-9pm
Exhibition runs: 22st - 23rd November2019 12-6pm American collage artist Brian Reinker brings his latest abstract landscapes to Hoxton street with his first London solo exhibition, Paper-Scissors-Rock. Working in the language of landscape and topography, Brian Reinker is an artist whose colourful abstractions depict real and imagined places with the disciplined approach of an architect, using crisp lines and extreme precision. The graphic and geometric elements Reinker uses to create cityscapes, coastlines, mountains and buildings are rendered in ways that share his own emotional response to the landscape. His aim is to distil the essence of these places, using a variety of techniques and media – including paint, ink, and paper collage on aluminium panels. For his latest solo show, Paper-Scissors-Rock, Reinker has been focused on working with hand cut paper, vinyl and foil to create multi-layered works of varying sizes. He will be unveiling new collage works inspired by city life, including his “Facade” and “Sky” series of urban landscapes, which will be displayed alongside new large scale pieces from his recent “Horizon” series.
