Ewa Luc: Endless Evolution of ExcellenceOpening Night: Thursday 8th August 6-9pm
Exhibition open: 9th-10th August 2019 11-8pm ‘Endless Evolution of Excellence’ is the first solo show by London based Polish born artist Ewa Luc. For this exhibition, Luc will be exhibiting her documentation of the dominant construction industry from around the city of London. The collection of photographs will be displayed in a playful installation focusing on the structural behaviour of elements formed at working sites. Each chosen piece of the composition, their form, particular colour and texture, which juxtaposed with another object resonates aesthetically, capturing the temporality and transitions that exist only during the building process. The result is a series of photos showing the appearance of already disappearing spatial conditions during a short stage in the life cycle of a building. Luc graduated from UAL Chelsea in 2017. Her graduation works were selected to be part of Orbital, the year long display commissioned by LEWIS Foundation at the Millbank Tower, London. 'The conceptual drive in my practice focuses on how photography can create an appetite for the physical object, which I attempt to fulfil to various degrees, through the objects themselves. I seek to capture ‘nowdays beauty’ provoking an endless evolution of something being perfect yet not perfect. I repurpose everyday domestic objects and focus on the photographic representation of urban spirituality.' FB Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2376374965908187/ https://ewaluc.com/ |
