Lucy Pickford: Follow MeHaving spent a year living and travelling in Japan Lucy Pickford came to better understand the culture and lifestyle and its differences to the UK. Having hitchhiked around the country for over 6500km and since returning to the UK she wanted to document her travels in a way that fits with her time as an LA. Having originally trained as a Landscape Architect she approached the work from the environmental angle. Thresholds and streetscapes are central to landscape architecture and urban design and by making these the centre of this exhibition she looks to explore the cultural changes across the environments with peoples connections to them. By removing people from the landscapes you have the chance to connect with the places in a way you often wouldn't.
The show has been organised and curated by the artist. Private View: 25 July 6-9 pm Exhibition runs: 24 - 30 July 2019 12-8 pm |
